Blackfield was started by Aviv and Steven in 2001 and have previously released the critically acclaimed albums Blackfield (2004), Blackfield II (2007) and 2011’s Welcome To My DNA. The new album includes guest vocal performances from Brett Anderson (Suede), Jonathan Donahue (Mercury Rev) and Vincent Cavanagh (Anathema).

Aviv Geffen meldet sich mit Steven Wilson und special Guests wie Brett Anderson (Suede), Jonathan Donahue (The Flaming Lips und Mercury Rev.) & Vincent Cavanagh (Anathema) mit einem neuen BLACKFIELD Album zurück. Die beiden Musikerpersönlichkeiten Geffen und Wilson könnten kaum unterschiedlicher sein – doch genau deshalb scheinen sie sich zu ergänzen. Am 30. August erscheint ihr mittlerweile viertes Album, schlicht Blackfield IV betitelt.

WISDOM OF CROWDS is the new album from an exciting new project featuring Bruce Soord from The Pineapple Thief with Jonas Renkse from Katatonia. Originally written with Renkse’s voice in mind, Soord sought out the acclaimed Katatonia vocalist to complete the compositions and release the music to the masses. Despite the rigorous schedules of The Pineapple Thief and Katatonia, the two musicians were eventually able to connect.
